Humans

Humans
Now one of the most populous people in the Vale, when they arrived all those centuries ago, the humans numbered in the dozens. The name of their homeland and why they left it is lost to time and memory.

The humans learned from their new neighbors quickly, and put that knowledge to use. The first stone castle in the Vale, the Citadel, was of human make, using skills and magic taught to them by elves, dwarves, orcs, and even goblins. That they then used it to strike out at the same people who instructed them in these talents is a moment in their history that many are not proud of.

Not all humans are so prideful, but it is occasionally said that some can rival the eladrin in their hubris. It’s an even more apt comparison when one considers that the humans have adopted certain aspects of social organization from those ostensible rulers of Faerie.
